Man, its amazing that after such a terrible week, a 15 minute drive can make this terrible week seem better, not great, but pretty good. I was early today for my voice lesson, which is far out this road, so to waste time I just drove past the street the man lives on and I kept driving, listening to the killers and thinking, and with everything that's been going on this week, thinking could've been really bad for me, but for some strange reason I didn't over think about the fact that I don't have a prom date, or that I don't know if I'm really ready for college or not. Instead I thought about the perfect house that I saw, a white cottage house with a cute peaked garage with steps that led to an attic. I thought about how much I want to live in a big city, and that living in a big city will make me appreaciate the south and my love for pretty pastures and the small town feel even more. Now if only the 40 minute drive I have to make to Warner Robins tomorrow could be as good, maybe I can get someone to go with me.

I love that photo! So gorgeous. Prom dates are overrated, and college is something that no one is really ready for-- you just go there and give it your all, and somewhere along the way you end up having a complete blast. Before you know it you'll graduate with a degree and wonder where the 4 years went...so it's good that you didn't over think any of that. Just enjoy it when the time comes. :)
ReplyDeleteEven though I have lived in SF, I really crave living in a large city too...did you apply to any schools in major cities?
P.S. Yay for The Killers!
It's been too long since I last commented, but I've been reading! I know exactly how you feel, sometimes it just being you, your tunes, and the road can make a big difference.
ReplyDeleteI've done really big city life (Paris) and really small town life (2,000 people). I like somewhere in the middle :) And, I echo all that Lisa said - she's a wise lady!
big city is fun yes but can be stressful trust me! its a tough decisions. i suppose there is a lot more opportunity in the big city thats why i live in one but a small city is peaceful and relaxing. i hope your going to love your decision!
