Weekend Recap

1. Showers or baths? I'm pretty much a strictly shower person, but if I'm really really sure, I'll take a salt bath.

2. Do you have any crazy urges? Not really, I guess I sometimes just think about driving up to atlanta and going to the airport and hoping on a plane, but I haven't done that....yet.

3. What is one thing we don't know about you? I can't pogo, like on a pogo stick, I fall right off.

4. Exercise..love it or hate it? love/hate. I hate getting ready to go to the gym, but once I get there I like it, other than the fact that sometimes it gives me horrible asthma attacks.

5. Do you think you have a good body image? um, not at all.

6. Flour or corn tortillas? Corn, I pretty much don't eat a lot of flour filled stuff at home. My dad has cileac disease, so we don't eat anything with wheat in it at home.

7. How do you celebrate Easter? Church, Giant easter egg hunt with all of my family(and money!) and then we all eat ham(yuck) and then NAPTIME!

8. Hard boiled Easter eggs or plastic eggs? plastic, because of the candy/money. =)

Now for Tybee pictures!

our adorable little cabin in the campground site.

the closer we got to the peir, the more people we saw.
It was even more packed on Saturday afternoon.

pier shawdow picture!

recognize this? Its the house from THE LAST SONG!

Group shot in front of Mileys house.

apparently Miley stole this bench(and brought it back).

splashing through low tide on the first day.

Sandra Bullocks houses on Tybee, they were so close to our cabin!

Dinner on River St. in Savannah, it was delicious!
(so I really love my outfit here too.)

splashing on the beach the 2nd day, it was sorta hazy outside.

We got to Tybee around 12, walked on the beach, checked in and ate lunch. Then we rented bikes and rode all over the island from our end, to the pier to the other end where all the giant old houses are, it was gorgeous. We then settled on a North end beach where we played in the low tide and made drip castles(my favorite). We went into Savannah that night and ate right on Riverstreet, I had yummy Salmon. We then passed out at home, woke up the next morning, packed up and spent the rest of the day on the beach, laying out, walking to the peir for ice cream and listening to girly music and getting nice and burnt. and I loved every minute of it, I have the best friends.

Tybee Time!

I leave for da beach in the morning!

Woo!

I'm leaving tomorrow for the beach with my friends(+the madre), apparently 18 year olds aren't trustworthy, haha.

I'm super excited, we're leaving at 8 sharp in the morning(hopefully it won't turn into 9) and then we're off to Savannah/Tybee.

I really really really want to go into Savannah tomorrow night after we've chilled on the beach all day, especially so I can take some cool pictures and walk around downtown, its so gorgeous there, but some of my friends don't want to! Crazy, right?

I'll defintely take a ton of picture to post. This spring break has been better than most, but its gone by so fast. Once this week is over I have to worry about: graduation, gym, college(COLLEGECOLLEGECOLLEGE), and my AP art portfolio(I'm not prepared).

But I will NOT let everything(college, parents, fighting, romantic desires, pressure) get to me this weekend. This weekend I will aim to be unlike myself, and go with the flow and have fun. I hope I can atleast do that.

Enjoy yo weekends!

plus, be proud of me, I'm currently planning ahead for upcoming posts. I'm proud of me.

Hugh Dancy, marry me.

Yesterday I watched Coffessions of a Shopaholic, a few weeks ago I watched The Jane Austen Book Club and today I stared at this:

(How could you NOT love this!?)

Thats not all I did, because I'm not that pathetic, but in the back of my mind, oh, he was there. Other than when I was watching the adorable, giant, handsome and foriegn Liam Hemsworth in The Last Song. Its a Nicholas Spark's movie so you know its going to be sad, but oh was it ever. I won't spoil anything for anyone, but I think this might be the depressing book/movie he's ever put out. Now Miley Cyrus, she was, well she was "just being Miley". Her performance was terrible, but for what was bad or awkward Liam Hemsworth made up for it by just being....there.

Overall my day was pretty good, started it off with girls breakfast at Cracker Barrel, then The Last Song. I then came home expecting to lay out on my roof, but before I could do that I got into a 20 minute fight with the carpenter bees on our roof. My weapons of choice: broom and poison, theres: being so frikin fast.

Today was signifigantly better than the funk I've been in recently though, so thats good.

NOTE: I'm also super proud of myself because thanks to Brandis wonderful how-to on Laurens wonderful blog, I was able to learn how to do this:

(ignore super awkward facial expression and the fact that the picture doesn't even show how cute it really is)

But isn't it just so darn cute?!

and I had written myself off as hair-challenged, destined to wear the same hair forever and ever.

Its decided, if I don't get into UGA off the waitlist for fall 2010, then I am getting myself a tattoo. So who's going to go with me and hold my hand? Actually, as much as I want a tattoo(kind of), I would also like to go to UGA. So think happy thoughts about that instead, please.

Updates and Getting to know you's

As of Friday, I have been waitlisted at the college I've wanted to go to for my entire life. I'm the only one of my friends now who doesn't know where they're going and hasn't gotten in. I won't find out until May 15- June 30. They really do want to ruin my spring break/senior year/summer don't they?

But if you've been reading my blog at all in the past two months then you know how much I want to go to UGA. and I'm not going to let this "waitlisting" get me down, I mean there are people who didn't get in, right? Or atleast I'm going to try and not let it get to me, but for now, I'm still kind of in shock. Like seriously, I just sit there and think about it and if I think about it too much than I start to cry and I don't even realize, how pleasant.

I'd love for everyone to keep me in there prayers that I'll find out as soon as possible, and until then that I'll be able to keep my nerves calm and have peace that things will turn out they way they're supposed to be, despite my opposistion.

Getting to know you!

1 - Why did you start blogging? I guess I felt like a needed a place to talk, because I felt like in my real life no one was listening, so I thought that if I just put out I what I wanted to say into the world then there had to be someone who cared, and there has been.

2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"? I really don't know, I feel like I'm still dipping my toes into the blogging pool and that maybe I haven't really made any huge connections, although I hope to one day. I think everyone that I've met so far blogging is just great, and I'd love to get to know them all!

3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are? I have way more than "10 extra pounds" to lose, or atleast in my opinion I do. I've never ever been thin my entire life, and I know I probably will never ever be thin, but I do want to be comfortable with myself, so I'm working on that.

4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you? I really don't think I've ever gotten close enough to a guy to have just one thing.

5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?
None but I'm seriously considering getting a small one, if I do, it'll probably be a very small fish (jesus) fish on my foot or ankle, and if I like it enough, then probably more, but I really don't know yet. I've also thought about a small dove, or a city skyline(not detailed or anything).

- What was the best year of your life and why?
It sounds weird, but second grade was amazing, I had my best friend with me and we were together all the time, I totally think I was in love with him, or as much in love a 8 year old can be. And probably my freshman year of high school, I met so many new people and I just had so much fun, plus that was the year I had my first kiss and had my only semi "relationship" with a boy, even if it was super dorky and awkward. haha.

7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day. I'd definitely walk around without a shirt on and I don't really know what else....
8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?
If I drink alcohol at all right now it raises a few eyebrows, from the small amount of wine/smaller amount of beer/ and even smaller amount of liquor  I'd say I liked wine and beer, they weren't that bad.

okay, you're turn!

Now I'm off to enjoy my spring break that involves: road trip tomorrow with M to Wilkinson County to watch her boyfriend play baseball, arts and crafts Tuesday and Greek Food!, Last Song, pedicures, and Victoria Secrets on Wednesday, Thursday is packing and grocery shopping for FRIDAY! Which is when I leave for Tybee with my best friends! Woooo! I'm really hoping that all of this will take my mind off of all the college stuff.

( my favorite tattoo I've ever seen on a guy before, the guitar is beautiful)

I don't believe it...

I seriously cannot comprehend the fact that I am graduating high school in less than 2 months. Its crazy, I can't believe that some of the best years of my life are about to be over. I've made the best friends I could ever have in the past 4 years and I've been with some of my favorite guys since the first grade, and now, after 12 years together we're graduating.
What's just now hitting me:
- Last yearbook deadline is on Friday, and I've made a senior page, Crazy!
- Its senior week, and guess what, I'm a senior!
- I'm about to experience my last high school spring break.

But most of all, I hear back from UGA on FRIDAY! I'm absolutely freaking out, so much that I can't function. I want to know so bad, but at the same time if I know then it means I have to start planning the next four years of my life no matter how hesitant I am about it.

I'm definitely struggling this week, I've been getting spring break plans worked out and I've been overloaded on Yearbook stuff but its all coming together, so I'm relieved. I also haven't been able to make it to the gym or even to youth group in the past 2 weeks and thats really stressing me out, I've been feeling so sick so the gym has just seemed like a horrible idea with all my respiratory isssues, but I go to my first ENT appointment of Friday, so I'm excited, I'm hoping the tonsils will come out and I will never have to worry about those awful things again. I'm also really nervous about my AP art portfolio, because I'm doing a photography themed concentration but I haven't even started on it yet, oops. I'm just hoping spring break will give me some relaxation time.

I'm really hoping that I'll get to go a short trip to Tybee/ Savannah with my best friends the week of Spring Break. I really love Savannah and I so want to stay in town so I can do some shopping and get like cute dorm stuff. Its just so pretty there.

( I want to live there so bad.)

(Gorgeous, right?)

(They have so many beautiful little squares like this one)

(Such classic architecture, beautful and historic too.)

(as much as I hate her, I want to see this movie and him, and it was filmed on tybee)

What's the best spring break you've ever had? plus, have you been to Savannah? What should I do there?

Immune system let down

I'm getting over being sick for the second time in a month, its ridiculous. Here's the short version of the progression of this weeks sickness, Saturday- I woke up with a horrible sore throat but I just downed cough drops and tried to put up with it, it goes all the way until today. Monday- I wake up and I've almost completely lost my voice, but my throat doesn't hurt as bad anymore but I've got a nasty cough. Tuesday- I wake up and I can't talk at ALL, my voice is shot. I go to the doctor and they take the blood work and after what feels like an hour the doctors comes back and tell me I have MONO! I was weirded out, I mean really, mono? I didn't feel that bad, but he reasoned and said it was probably the reason I'd been sick like 2 weeks ago, and we just hadn't caught it. Wednesday- I feel pretty bad, but I go to school for a little while, and everyone finds out I have mono(supposedly). Yesterday- I go back to the doctors office because they called and said that they thought that I might have something else so I go back in and they prick my finger another time and after another 45 minute wait and multiple throat swabs they come back and tell me I don't have mono, but that its pneumonia. The nurse on Tuesday forgot to swab my throat so they had no idea that what I had was really only bacterial and that I only had elevated levels of the mono virus, but not enough to make me really sick.

and this is why I hate doctors, so if you didn't feel like reading all of that, just know, I was sick, the doctors screwed up and I'm still sick but getting better.
Atleast I have the cherry blossom festival to look forward to this weekend, I LOVE it and I'm so going to do as much as possible. Plus I really want to go shopping, and post my spring break plans! But I'll get to that. I hope everyones had a better week than I have had!

Yearbook, Know you's, and overall stress

my life is has been taken over by yearbook, and the newspaper and just so much stress. All I want to do is be able to relax and enjoy my senior year. So, I'm sorry I've been a little slack on posting, but enjoy Getting to Know You. But What will make it even better tonight is making the best cupcakes ever and Gossip Girl.

1. What's your favorite Easter candy?

Reese's peanut butter eggs, great chocolate to peanut butter ratio.

2. Who do you think is cleaner..men or women?
In my opinion, women. I mean, we shower more, we shave, and from my own experience I'm super organized and I care whether my car smells like a giant fart, the boys I know, don't.

3. Which do you prefer..wordy blog posts or ones with pictures?
It depends on my mood, I mean look at my blog, I'm super wordy sometimes and other times its all pictures.

4. Were you popular in highschool?
Well since I'm still in high school I feel if I answered this I'd be really shallow, and probably wrong. But for now, I'll just say, I have friends, good ones, and since we're a little group of nerdy white people in a predominately urban, ghetto than yes, we're popular in the since that we're the only group of nerdy white folks around.

5. What's your bra size?
oh lord, I think a 38 C/D. I really haven't looked lately.

6. How many states have you lived in?
Just Georgia, hopefully more eventually.

7. What's one blog you read every day?
There are so many amazing ones out there, I can't pick one:
muchomuchobuenobueno, the little things we do, dinosaurtoes, Bacwoods Fern, A Day in the Life, My teacups in peonies, from Portland to peonies

8. Peanut butter or Nutella?
Both, seriously, this is like asking me to pick between my leg and my arm, I love them both. (that camparison was probably a little weird, right?)

I hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was pretty good, uneventful but good. Went to see Remember Me with some of my friends(it made me sad, and the ending was unneccesary), got seafood with my family and wished the entire weekend that I could go shopping.  I'm really excited about blogging this weekend because I KNOW I have alot of awesome ideas and things to say this week, so stay tuned!

By the Way: one of my favorite blogs ever, with 2 girls, is having an awesome giveaway that ends TOMORROW! Go check it out, they're giving away some of their cute goodies. look at my sidebar to check out there blog, its AHdorable.
